We describe our products as accurately as we can. Colours can appear differently on different screens, and small differences between an image and the item you receive are normal and not a fault. Some photographs show the same product fitted for birds or other animals; they show how the product sits, not a promise about any one species.

What a deterrent can and cannot do

Specifications quoted on our product pages are the manufacturer's own. Where a supplier publishes no figure, our page says so rather than estimating one. No spike strip, trap or ultrasonic unit keeps every animal away: results depend on the site, the animal, the surrounding food and shelter, and how the product is fitted. Animals can get used to a sound that never harms them, which is why we suggest ultrasonic units as part of a wider plan.

Trapping and wildlife rules

Our guidance on using a live-catch trap is general information. Rules on trapping, moving and releasing wildlife vary by province, territory and municipality, and some animals are protected. Check the rules where you live before you set a trap, and contact your local wildlife authority or a licensed wildlife control operator where they apply.
